Bummaroo Ford Campground

As the most accessible camping area within Abercrombie River National Park, it is a favorite for families and travelers who want a bush experience without the need for a 4WD. This is the only site in the park that accommodates caravans and camper trailers, making it a key stopover between Oberon and Goulburn.
Set right on the banks of the Abercrombie River, the campground is a haven for water activities. When water levels allow, visitors can enjoy swimming, canoeing, and kayaking through the scenic river reaches. Nature lovers will appreciate the spring wildflower displays of golden wattles and bottlebrushes, as well as the chance to spot platypuses at dawn, or resident kangaroos and emus. While the site is 2WD accessible, it offers a primitive experience with pit toilets and fire rings; visitors must bring their own drinking water and be prepared for a peaceful, off-grid stay in the Central Tablelands.
