- Silt Jetties (Mitchell River Silt Jetties): A stone's throw away (approx. 1-2 km). The second largest silt jetties in the world, ideal for fishing and birdwatching.
- Paynesville (township): Approximately a 5-minute drive (approx. 5 km). Known as "the boating capital of Victoria," offering supermarkets, local cafes, takeaways, and the ferry to Raymond Island.
- Raymond Island: Access via a short, free car ferry from Paynesville (approx. 5 km to the ferry, plus ferry time). Famous for its Koala Trail, offering excellent opportunities to spot koalas in their natural habitat.
