Minyip Caravan Park

Minyip Caravan Park, also known as Minyip Community Caravan Park, is located just off Petering Street, Minyip, and integrates with the Minyip Wetlands. It offers a relaxed and community-oriented stay, operating on an honesty system with no booking required for caravan and camp sites. The park has recently added two self-contained, two-bedroom cabins, one of which is accessible. It's a peaceful spot surrounded by nature, featuring walking tracks through the wetlands, which are home to the endangered Rice Flower Plant. Minyip itself is a picturesque country town, famously known as "Coopers Crossing" from The Flying Doctors TV show and recently featured in the movie "The Dry".

  • Minyip Wetlands: The caravan park is incorporated into the Minyip Wetlands, providing direct access to walking tracks, outdoor fitness equipment, and bird watching opportunities.
  • Minyip Town Centre: An easy walk from the main street of Minyip, offering access to local shops and services.
  • Minyip Silo: A large grain silo visible from the walking track, a feature of the Wimmera Mallee region's silo art trail (though Minyip's silo is not part of the painted trail).
  • "The Dry" Movie Locations: Minyip was a key filming location for the movie "The Dry," and visitors can explore the town and identify various spots from the film.
